About Mary Page
Mary Raunikar Page is an American expatriate originating from the plains of Oklahoma. She received her harp performance degree at the University of Oklahoma School of Music and her advanced music therapy degree from Arizona State University at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. She is qualified to practice music therapy in the United States as an MT-BC and in the United Kingdom as an RMT through the Health and Care Professions Council. She teaches piano, music theory, and harp under the ABRSM syllabus.
SERVICES I OFFER
Each service provided is entirely separate from the other. Music Therapy is not to be confused with performance or private lessons, even if a performance takes place in a hospital. Additionally, ethical protocol prevents me from participating in my other services with my music therapy clients. This is to prevent potential bias involved in dual relationships and to maintain the safety and confidentiality of those clients.
An Elegant Atmosphere
With hundreds of arrangements in my repertoire and years of experience with ensembles, I will be delighted to play a part in your special event, whether it be a ceremony, service, private party, or concert venue. Prices will vary, depending on time and requirements.
Promoting Wellness through Organized Sound and Creativity
All humans are united by a common need for balance and expression. Consider music therapy if you feel as though you are lacking either. My sessions can help you achieve physical, mental, and emotional goals, from coping with a disability to preventative care for your mental health.
Learn the Harp or Piano
No matter how old you are, learning an instrument is excellent for brain development and maintenance. From this, you can learn organization, problem solving, and develop your sense of creativity. While I will be working from the standardized ABRSM system, I like to boast teaching philosophies that are grounded in a therapeutic background.
