Expertise

Mary’s foundations were formed during her internship and her first year of work  in a behavioral health and chemical dependency facility. Here, she facilitated groups in which music therapy interventions were applied to support clients in gaining insights and healthy coping skills.

Since then, Mary’s approach to music therapy derives from theory and practice around mental health and well-being, though her client goals and objectives may vary widely. She especially enjoys applying her primary instrument - the harp - as a helpful medium to support her clients in achieving their goals.

Research and Workplace Well-Being

Mary’s clinical foundations in mental health have inspired her to learn more about the impact of music therapy and other creative arts interventions in the workplace context.

She is currently pursuing a part-time doctorate in Organisational Health and Well-Being at Lancaster University where she is proposing a feasibility and acceptability study on the impact of music therapy as an intervention for corporate well-being. She is happy to speak with anyone who has questions about this.

Mary Raunikar Page is qualified to practice music therapy in the United Kingdom through the Health and Care Professional Council and in the United States through the Certification Board of Music Therapists. She is registered with the British Association of Music Therapy and the Academy of Neurologic Music therapy.
